Empowering Families, Supporting Growth &
Moving Forward Together
Who we are
Moving Forward is an independent and private early intervention service, for children, young people and families, based in Fareham, Hampshire.
We deliver clinical evidence-based interventions, run by a qualified PG certificated Psychotherapist. We provide children, young people and families with a compassionate and professional service, tailored to the unique needs of the child and family. We are dedicated to supporting individuals and families to overcome difficulties with social and emotional needs, challenging behaviour, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, low mood, trauma and adolescent relationships. Our interventions can be delivered as a one-to-one or a group setting, remotely or in person.
It is our aim to work in partnership with schools and agencies, within both the public and private sectors, to identify children and families in need of support. We then aim to work with these children, young people and families as early as possible to prevent family breakdown and statutory service involvement.
We aim to provide a safe and supportive environment for all our clients. We aim to make a difference, whether big or small, for children, young people and families. To enable them to reach their full potential, and accomplish their personal goals, and move forward in a more positive way.
What we do?
We offer a range of family-based therapeutic programmes designed to support children and parents in managing emotional and behavioral challenges.
The Behaviour Support Programme helps parents manage oppositional behaviors in children by reinforcing positive strategies and building stronger family relationships.
The Anxiety Programme provides parents with tools to help primary-aged children cope with anxiety through calm, consistent, and empathetic parenting. The Drawing and Talking Therapy offers a non-intrusive, attachment-based intervention for children to process and heal from trauma, anxiety, and emotional difficulties.
Additionally, the Working with Teens programme supports parents in strengthening family relationships, managing teenage behaviors, and fostering effective communication and self-confidence in their teens.
